"My biggest creation is The Word: A Gospel Opera, a full length musical play that
I’ve produced and performed in the Philadelphia Archdiocese since 1995.
The Word is now fully scored and licensed, available for anyone to perform for their
“home” crowd, be it a school, church, or theater.
The Word offers some wonderful catechetical opportunities, including
“Blessed & Happy:
The Beatitudes in Sign Language” which is available on its own as an
instructional DVD." - From the composer, Bill Monaghan

Inspired by the Word of God, these highly energetic songs from the musical mind of
Bill Monaghan embody the joy and celebration of Psalm 122: “Let Us Go Rejoicing
to the House of the Lord!” This book contains 29 of Bill’s original settings, which can
be used both in Liturgy and for general praise and worship.
From “Alleluia” to a fresh new “Ave Maria” to the beatitudes in
“Blessed and Happy,” you’ll find rich harmonies, exciting rhythms and
upbeat music...and those are only the first 3 songs!
Track List
More of Bill’s most upbeat Liturgical compositions, filled with
harmony and rhythm, like “Precepts of the Lord,” I Will Walk Before the Lord,”
as well as some of his most reflective songs, like “Let My Tongue Be Silenced,”
and “For the Glory.” For those in youth ministry, consider “Lullaby” for
Living Stations, as a reflection when Mary holds Jesus in her arms after they
take Him down from the cross; or “My Lord, My Light, My Shepherd,” written
specifically for those studying the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy
Eucharist. Also featured are a Lenten Gospel Acclamation (“Glory to You, Word of
God, Lord, Jesus Christ!”), and the Magnificat (“My Soul Rejoices in My God”).
